As frequent travelers to Key West, Florida, the owners of Steel Mill Tavern have embraced the island community's mantra of "One Human Family." "Like fingers on a hand, we are all different and unique. We are all of equal value. We are all created to work together. And although we appear separate, we are all linked to - and a part of - each other."
We welcome everyone who share a respect for each other, and who seek to enjoy the positive energy that we will strive to provide for each and every customer, each and every day!
Welcome to the New South Side!
Parsons Avenue is undergoing an amazing renaissance. Starting from the Nationwide Children's Hospital campus at Livingston Avenue, Parsons Avenue is seeing a resurgence of energy and development.
A Columbus Dispatch article from 2017 predicted the metamorphosis that we are seeing now. New apartments, condos and home rehabs stretch down Parsons to Groveport Rd. Many buildings have already been rehabilitated and are home to popular new businesses like bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and microbreweries.
Even more is underway, including the recent redevelopment of the nearly 70 acre former Buckeye Steel Castings property.
Our name, Steel Mill Tavern, is a shout out to the neighborhood's steel-making history. We are excited to be part of the growth of this area, and to being an anchor bar on the New South Side.
